“Prom is in the Air”

I would like to start off by apologizing to all my lovely bloggers. As is the case with most college students, I have been swamped with exams and work. Don’t worry though because I always make time to tune into Laguna! So onto Monday’s episode……

I love the way prom invites occur in Laguna Beach. I don’t know about anyone else but my dates just picked up the phone or quietly asked me by my locker. Of course everything has to be extra extravagant with these teens. Jessica and Alex H. are startled by two “gorillas” holding bananas which read “Prom?” Across town Alex M. is prom dress shopping when she runs into sophomore Cami. Cami approaches Alex and asks her if it would be okay if she went to the prom with Jason. Alex replies that it would be fine, but is this really the case?

Moving onto the next invite, Kristen is pulling up to her driveway when she notices a bouquet of flowers. As she opens the garage door, there is Talan standing with red roses in the middle of an extravagant display. Kristen immediately replies yes! How adorable are those two?

The pre-prom party is held at a gorgeous location. I know my pre-parties did not look like that. As good-looking girls and boys fill the room, we can’t help but notice Casey’s bright yellow dress. Jessica and Kristen snicker saying she looks like a hooker. Well, she kind of did. One thing that really bothered me is how rude Kristen was being to Talan. She was not paying any attention to him and they were not together at all. Why is she always playing all these games? They won’t work for her forever.

Perhaps the most startling occurrence in the episode was Alex M. and Jason making out hard core. Poor Cami! Jason is the worst and so is Alex for hooking up with him again. Attention Girls: Stay away from Jason! Well with only 2 weeks left of high school and the whole summer ahead, who knows what is in store. Till next time….

Okay, so what is up with the way that prom invites occur? I know that my high school never did that. There are dances where the girls ask the guys but none with special invites as on Laguna. I think that a lot of the way the guys asked the girls was kind of cheesy but I loved the way that Talan asked Kristen. I thought it was so romantic.

Now moving onto the Prom night, I thought Casey's dress was horrible. It did look like a hooker dress, plus I do not really like Casey anyway. She gets on my nerves. Also at the Prom, Kristen was not with Talan the whole time. I felt really bad for him because Kristen was kind of a bitch towards him, especially when they were taking pictures, because Kristen was with everyone else but Talan. But, I guess that is just Kristen’s personality. Lastly, I can not believe that Alex M. and Jason were making out after prom. Jason is so rude and I felt so bad for his date, but then again, that’s what you should expect from Jason.

Now I can not wait to see next week’s episode with Jason and L.C. That looks so good, and Stephen looks so mad.

I unfortunately missed Laguna Beach Monday because I was study too, but not to worry I caught the repeat episode the other day! I agree, those prom invites are out of control, if I remember correctly my prom date just called me on the phone and asked me. You are right about Kristen being so mean to Talan. She thinks every boy should just fall at her feet (I’m not over the fact that she hooked up with Jeff even though Jessica liked him). For a second I thought that no one was going to ask Kristen to prom. I thought it was nice of Cami to ask Alex M. if she cared, but honestly are they even that good of friends. If I was younger girl I would have just went.
Casey dress was actually horrible! But the place were pre-prom was so nice, I remember my pre – prom just being in someone’s backyard right?? I cannot believe Alex M. and Jason hooked up…she is just dumb and he is just a scumbag. I can’t wait for week to see what happens with Jason and LC. I feel like he will be really nice to her because she is older.

I agree with everyone else that the prom invites in Laguna are out of control. Poor Talan bought Kristen like three dozen roses and then she ends up being the worst date ever. I also thought a lot of the girls didn't look very dressed up. The girls in my high school would wear long expensive dresses and have these crazy hairdos that cost more than their dress. I just thought that since the Laguna kids are obviously pretty rich they would look amazing.
Once again Jason proved that he's an absolute jerk. He was probably only hooking up with Alex again because he was clearly drunk and he's a typical guy.
Anyway, I cannot wait for next week's episode. Poor Stephen will have his heart broken again.

I think it's really fun how they ask but realistically, what if they said no? They guy would feel like a big loser haha. I guess that's their problem though! Also, for as hyped up as prom is everywhere, and I'm sure their dresses were expensive being where they live but they weren't really very fancy. Everyone at my school had floor length dresses and stuff, I just thought that was kind of odd. (I'm not advocating that people wear dresses like Casey's though mind you.) Alex and Jason hooked up which was terrible, I feel bad for his date even if she was really random and we'd never seen her before!

High school was a blast, but I'm so happy I dont have to relive the prom dramas. This show is fun to watch, obviously because I'm part of this blog, but it is soooo unrealistic! I agree with you Lex, when I got asked to prom it was simple, quiet and finished before I knew it. These big men on campus really go all out.

It's a shame that Kristen always plays games on the guys she knows. It will ctach up with her soon enough. But in the meantime, I feel bad for Talan. I feel like its an obligation to stay with your date most of the night at prom, but "things" get in the way sometimes.

I was never invited to a prom like the girls of Laguna! Although extreme, like the “gorillas” for instance, it is really cute the way some of these boys put thought into asking their dates. I must say that I was a big fan of Mr. Talan and I was glad to see him go with Kristen even though she pretty much left him once they got there. The Alex M. and Jason thing definitely threw me for a loop and I felt so bad for his date Cami although it didn’t seem as if she minded too much. One thing I was surprised about is that it looks like Jessica is finally done with Jason, as she should be! The house they went to was amazing and I can’t even begin to imagine what their prom pictures would look like with a view and background like that one. Hard to believe that they said there were only TWO weeks left! I hope they drag out these next two weeks until graduation because I am not ready for the show to end! Can’t wait to see what happens on tonight’s episode!

I love the different ways the boys ask the girls to go to the prom. I really wish we did something similar at my school. Prom night was definitely interesting. What the heck was with Casey's dress? I thought she was suppose to be this super rich high society girl. Instead, she looked like a cheap hooker (and not even a good one!). Everything about her, down to the dress, looked just so fake! Also, what was Alex thinking hooking up with Jason again?!? She is just setting herself up to be really hurt. And what's up with scenes from next week? LC and Jason. NO WAY!

Wow this episode just made Kristin look so insensitive… I have no idea why she didn’t pay much attention to Talan and kept walking away from him at prom. I remember Talan saying way back how Kristin plays with guys head and they both agreed that she just loved the chase… and when a guy finally liked her she’d shove him away. I guess Kristin just wants to have fun and doesn’t want any kind of attachment right now. It’s always drama with her! Casey’s dress really was a little much, but whatever she has the body for it so show it if you’ve got it! I agree about the pre-prom party by the way – that is definitely not normal and I hope high school kids don’t think it is!

Hey Alexis! What a great episode!! Prom time at Laguna Beach is definitely one of my favorite times of year! I really can’t believe Talan asked Kristen. All she does is play games with everyone and wants every boy to be in love with her. How funny would it have been if she didn’t get asked! I totally agree with you that their pre-prom party was ridiculous! Caterers, professional photographers, are you kidding me?! Kristen was so rude to Talan too. I can’t believe she ignored him all night. As for the Alex/Jason situation, I really don’t see what all of these girls see in him. I mean I don’t think he’s all that great looking and he especially doesn’t have the personality! I can’t wait to see what goes on with him and LC in next week’s episode!!

Prom in Laguna Beach is so extravagent, but at least the boys are creative. I don't know what I'd do if a gorrila came up to me on the street asking me to prom. I think it's really cute that Jessica and Jeff went together. I hope this boy actually works out for her after all the drama she's been through with Jason. I also think that Casey looked like a hooker. Everything about her just looks so fake, and that dress was ridiculous. Is it mean that I was hoping that Kristen didn't get asked to prom? I was really hoping that Talen would realize that she's not worth the time. I guess now he does after Kristin totally ditched him all night. She was so mean to him! At the same time though, Talen is kind of a player as well so I guess he deserves it. And then there's Jason... how many girls has he screwed over in Laguna now? Cami should have seen it coming. Next week it's LC's turn.

My prom invite was NOTHING like that. My school was definitely more of the phone call or quiet invite by your locker. I think mine happened after softball practice one day...sweaty and gross. Let's just say it wasn't cute!

Kristen was sooooo mean to Talan!! They are so cute together and she's ruining it! Now as for Casey's dress...did she even bother to look in the mirror?? She didn't look cute at all. As a matter of fact, I don't think the girls' dresses looked very promish over all. They were all very cocktailish. I couldn't believe Alex and Jason were making out AGAIN! I felt bad for Jason's date and someone is bound to get hurt again...

Their pre-prom was crazy. We just went to someone's house and then to a nearby park to take pictures afterwards...nothing like Laguna...

I think its funny how they have shown us the prom invites for 2 years in a row. I wish that we were all asked to prom in some funny way. I went to my senior prom with my boyfriend, and he didn't even have to ask. For junior prom I think my date asked me in the lunch line as I was grabbing a slice of pizza...haha! Its so intertaining anyways though.

Kristin oh Kristin, no she will not get away with this for forever. She really needs to learn how to treat a guy, especially one like Talan who has done such nice things for her this season. He deserves someone a lot better than her!

And last but not least, what is Jasons deal? He thinks he is such hot shit and all of these girls giving in to his big eyes and bushy hair need to get a life! I honestly don't think he's such a hottie in the first place.

Can't wait to see the next one!

I love the way the prom invites go in Laguna. It makes the guys be a little bit more creative. I think it's great to see how that special guy picks to ask you. I would be thrilled.

I can't stand Alex M. She is crazy. Back and forth with Jason. Either they are on or off, just pick one please!

I agree that Kristen is really crappy to Talan. He is such a sweet guy and totally into her. One day she is gonna wake up all alone and no guys are gonna want to deal with her mind games. Poor Kristen....just kidding!

Yeah the prom invites are crazy, can you imagine being asked liked that. The best by far was Talan’s, I mean he went totally out and you could tell it came from the heart. I felt for him the whole episode, is it too much to ask that you actually hang out with your date a little? I guess Kristen thought so, she ditched him before they left the pre-prom get together. Poor guy. One thing that struck me as odd was the preparation that was made for the prom, to me it seemed like they went more all out for Homecoming versus Prom. I just thought that was kind of strange, normally you would consider Prom to be the biggest event and yet I thought they were more excited for Homecoming, well minus the outrageous invites of course.

I agree, I love the way they ask their prom dates out at this high school. I have a feeling this is going to become a trend for a lot of high schools now that watch the show. It's so much more fun to be asked in some crazy surprise way than just a simple question. It's always interesting to see what new ideas they come up with next. I really liked the one for the winter formal when Alex asked Jason by creating a scavenger hunt for him that led to her in a cardboard box on the beach. That was probably the most creative way I've ever heard of anyone asking someone to a dance. I think it's funny that Alex hooked up with Jason after she put that show on in front of Jessica. She is such a hypocrite. I really think they might tell Jason to be the way he is to create all this drama between these girls. What guy is really that dumb?

Isn't it ironic how Alex M. got so pissed at Jessica for hooking up with Jason when she was supposively with him and she goes and does THE SAME THING. Even though Cami and Jason just went as "friends" and weren't really dating, it still isn't right. They could have at least gone in a closet or something (haha).

On to prom invites...after watching how these girls were asked to prom I was seriously sick (and really jealous) because no guy in my entire school or county ever did anything that sweet as Talan did for Kristen. And to be honest, I felt as though she really truly didn't appreciate it. I probably would have broke down crying, saying "I do I do!!" And I don't even want to talk about how rude she was to him at the actual dance. Slowly she is losing brownie points with me....but I still think she is my favorite character.

One last thing....Poor Jessica...

Has anyone experienced a prom like the one on Laguna Beach?! I think it is so funny that they go all out putting the effort into asking eachother, and then wear a dress that I would wear to a sort of dressy dinner. The guys put so much thinking into asking their dates that it is actually very impressive. I know no boys in high school did that for me or any of my friends!

I absolutely could not believe the dress that Casey was wearing. I despise her on this show because she is such a fake bimbo idiot. Come to think of it, that dress was perfect for her personality.

I felt horrible for Talan because he was beginning to like Kristin so much and she paid no attention to him for all of prom. However, he had to sort of know that's how she is going into the whole thing.

Jason is seriously getting around! I don't think he's the greatest looking kid in the world and he has girls crying and fighting over him! Could someone tell me what is so special about him that he is actually worth this?!
